The objective of the study was to describe Acehnese conceptual metaphor. Qualitative method was applied in this study and documentary technique was used as the way to collect the data.The source of data were two poems (Hikayats) of Acehnese in colonialism era, they were Hikayat Ranto and Hikayat Teungku di Meukek. Kovecses theory was applied in this study to find out the most common source domain used in these hikayats. To identify the metaphor in these Hikayat, the writer used Praglejazz Group Theory (2007).
